CAMP ARROYO
HISTORY
Camp
Arroyo in Livermore, California, was started in 2001
by The Taylor Family Foundation as a campsite for children
with serious illnesses. The campsite in the beautiful
Bay Area hills was donated by the East Bay Regional
Park District, while YMCA of East Bay agreed to be the
operator of the camp.
The
mission of The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF) is "to
enhance the quality of life for children in Northern
California suffering from life-threatening illnesses
and disabilities."
The IBD Camp has been running at Camp Arroyo for 5 years
now. As in the past five years, we have the same medical
staff and camp director. Many of the same counselors
and campers will also be returning in 2006.
